EECU - A Community Credit Union is pleased to announce that the 2010 EECU Scholarships have been awarded to Nicholas Biondolillo, a graduating senior from Jackson High School, and Ashley Bernard, a graduate of Hanover-Horton High School. The winners are selected based on their excellence in academics and outstanding community service, and each student is rewarded with a $1,000 scholarship to a college or university of their choice. Ashley will be attending University of Detroit Mercy and Nicholas will be studying at Michigan State University in the fall.
This year's scholarships were awarded in memory of Richard Whiteford, a long-time EECU Board Member who sadly passed away in December. Richard served many dedicated years on the Board of Directors - initially with the former Cascades Credit Union, serving as Board Chairperson, where he was instrumental in the successful merger of CCU and EECU.
EECU congratulates all applicants for their high academic scores, leadership and accomplishments throughout their high school career.
Congratulations and good luck Nicholas and Ashley!
